Anita Borges Obituary
Mrs. Anita Louise Borges, age 58, of Republic, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011, in her home, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 8, 1953 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Irene (Boone) Reigle.
Anita was a 1971 graduate of Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, Pa. After moving to Missouri, Anita was the former owner and manager of Stardust Video in Republic, and later had worked as a customer service representative for Salon Service Group in Springfield.
Anita was an avid Coca-Cola collector and belonged to several collector clubs. She loved all animals, especially her beloved cats.
Her parents preceded Anita in death.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Craig A. Borges; a daughter and her husband, Allyson and Scott Hicks, Clever, Mo.; two sisters, Laverene Garloff and Georgetta Pautz, Lebanon, Pa.; a brother, Bradley Reigle, Ocala, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Mo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Compassus, 1465 E. Primrose St., Springfield, MO 65804, or St. John's Foundation for Community Health, 1235 E.
