I listened to Bob play the piano as a child and enjoyed his talent and spirit. My mother, Juanita Young, taught Bob during his years in Dallas.

I never had the pleasure or opportunity to meet you. I heard wonderful praise from your friend, Lyndal Bingham.
Sadly we lost Lyndal this year, too, but I know he welcomed you at the Pearly Gates & with many Heavenly angels, the music is glorious.

Bob was a *supremely* gifted craftsman of orchestrations and a gentleman to boot. And witty! Two of the funniest things he said to me were "Never hire two double basses. Hire one or three but two will never agree on the pitch." And....upon my hearing his amazing and inventive arr. of Amazing Grace set to an accompaniment from Bolero, he said he was going to call it "Bo Derek Meets Jesus in the Key of G." What a loss! Ah, Bob, one of my idols for sure was you.

Dear, dear Bob. The world has lost a true musical genius. For those of us who know and love you, we are grateful for the incredible legacy of music you leave for us to enjoy. As we sing your sounds we will feel the joy and love you poured into every note and we will feel such gratitude.Lynn and I have no words to express our love for you nor can we express our sadness. We send our love and our next Christmas concert (2015) will feature your glorious Christmas settings and we will dedicate that performance to you and Rick. The moon and stars rejoice with your presence! Deep peace. Sam & Lynn

Bob, I miss you so much! When you and Rick left Arizona, you took the 'fun' with you. You were more talented than words can describe. I'm so happy to have known you and Rick and so happy you were in my life.

I was in music school with Bob at SMS in 1969 and followed him over the years. His capacity to weave his faith and music into such a tapestry leaves me in awe and speechless. Bless you Bob...well done faithful servant.
