Keith Cully Obituary

Keith L. Cully

Keith L. Cully, son of the late Glen Dyer and Ella M. (Brumback) Cully, was born on February 2, 1930 in Seymour, MO, and departed this life on July 25, 2015 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 85 years, 6 months, and 21 days of age.

Keith was reared and attended school in Humansville. After graduation he married Lotus Snow, and three children were born to this marriage. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his Country during the Korean War. After his service, he attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX and served as a Civilian Instructor for the Air Force for one year. He moved to Buffalo, MO in 1957 and purchased the Western Auto store, and ran it until his retirement in 1995. He was united in marriage to Carol McGill on January 22, 1972 in Aurora, IL, and together they made their home in Buffalo, MO. Keith was a member of the First Christian Church of Buffalo, D.A.V. Chapter 62, Abou Ben Adhem Shriners, 50 year member of the Blue Lodge of Scottish Rite, Dallas County School Board, Chamber of Commerce, Sheriff's Possee, Coffee Group of Bison Inn, and the Rotary Club. In his free time he enjoyed traveling with his fifth wheel trailer, fishing, bird hunting, and spending time with his family.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Weldon Cully, Gene Cully, and Wendell Cully; three sisters, Eileen Murski, Mildred Hammons, and Kathleen Stewart; and one great-granddaughter, Braxtin. He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; his children, Mike & wife Krista Cully of Springfield, MO, Sheila & husband J. R. Roller of Buffalo, MO, Blake & wife Kim Cully of Ozark, MO, Lee McGill of Strafford, MO, and Julie & husband Ahmed Belmir of Sunnyville, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Memorial Gardens of Memory cemetery with Ross Cully officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the D.A.V. and left at the Funeral Home.
