Marjorie Conklin Obituary

Marjorie Conklin

Marjorie L. Conklin, 93, passed away at her home Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Springfield, MO. She was born June 30, 1921 in Genesee Depot, WI to Ira and Mary (Rossbauch) Smart.

Marjorie was a lovely woman who successfully blended a family, making it so strong, that generations later, the bond is seamless and unbreakable between her surviving family. This wisdom she readily shared with others through her compassionately spoken words of wisdom that will also stand the test of time. She exuded not only an internal beauty, but a fun-loving nature as well. She had a joy of celebration and life, loved to dance with her husband of 60 years, enjoyed annual family picnics with near 60 attendees for many decades, relished traveling and cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John; parents; children, Helen (Conklin) Bull, David Conklin, Sue Conklin, Jim Peterreins, Warren French and other extended family members.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Karen Peterreins, John (Rosann) Conklin, Kenneth (Nora) Conklin, Connie French, Judy (Vince) Bavisotto, Richard Bull and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2 P.M. in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO.

Connie, Jennie and family, I hope time will erase the pain you must be feeling now. What a void you must feel without Marge and Warren. Please know I am thinking about you and praying for your resignation and acceptance that both spent their seasons in the sun.

Our dear friend, we are so very sorry for your loss, which has come at such a tragic time in your life. She must have wanted to be with Warren and just couldn't wait any longer. We hope you find comfort in how blessed you were to have her for as long as you did, and she was blessed to have you, her beautiful daughter/ friend. We miss you so very much and hope to see you soon. Love and hugs

Neil & I feel so blessed to have known "Miss Marge", if only for a few short years. We loved her the minute we met her, & hold her in our hearts with that love. She made us feel we were part of her biological family, and for that, we will always be grateful. A beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. Thank you, God, for lending her to us.
