ODee Cloud Obituary
ODee "Toby" Cloud 78, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday April 15th 2017 at 6:33 am at his home on the James River, in Highlandville, Mo.
He was born Oct. 6, 1938 in Ponce De Leon Mo. to Oda D. And Mamie R. Cloud he was the youngest of 8 children.
Preceded in death are his parents Oda and Mamie Cloud and 5 siblings. Stella Boyd, Donald Cloud,Margie Holbert, Margarite Smith, and Earnest Cloud.
He is survived by the mother of his children Genevieve Graves Cloud, his daughter Andrea Grace Cloud-Reinke and her husband Randall, his son Toby Dee Cloud and his wife Janet, Grandson Coleton Reed Cloud and Grand daughter Katelin Beth Cloud and lastly his beloved dog Pete.
Not to forget numerous nieces and nephews as well as many long time family friends.
Toby was most often referred to as "Pop".
Pop loved living at the river. He enjoyed shooting bottle rockets at the floaters passing by from a bluff above the James. He passed that tradition down to his grandson and grand daughter when they were old enough.
Pop also loved entertaining his company at the river and would like for everyone to continue to enjoy his place thru the generations. He was always there to help family and friends but mostly his kids and grand kids
Pop didn't want a funeral, but will be hosting a Memorial in his honor, on April 20, 2017 at East Grand Church of Christ, 2220 E. Grand from 5:00-8:00 pm. All friends are welcome.
A special thanks to his sisters Marsha Cox and Marybeth Williams and friend Russell Keller for making it possible for pop to spend his last days at the place he loved the most. Also, thanks to Ellie, Nancy and Kat, his personal caregivers, for taking care of his needs till the end. And lastly, we we want to thank Integrity Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care and services.

I had recently been thinking about Toby, and started searching for him on line. I am so sorry I didn't search for him sooner. I used to live a block over from the Clouds on South Crutcher St. in Springfield. I remember a lot of good times playing and getting into mischief with toby in the early 1950s. May you rest in peace my old friend.

I attended Central High School (1956) and Parkview (1957-1958) and remember Toby very well. He was quiet, always smiling and very friendly. He was very easy in which to make friends and became my high school friend. Unfortunately, Toby and I never actually connected or visited thereafter, but I remember him very well as being a very good friend, always smiling as if he was hiding something and sometimes could be a bit mischievous for sure. I see that he had a good life and I can certainly understand him being a good father and grandfather. May God bless you and your family in this time of personal need.

Toby was my uncle, my father's youngest brother. My father loved Toby and told us wonderful stories about their childhood. I'm lucky he was my uncle. Godspeed Toby.
