Charles Hayden Obituary


Obituary

Charles Bedford Hayden, 91, of Marshall, VA formerly of Cape Coral, FL passed away on December 12, 2007. He was born on February 19, 1916 in Alexandria, VA. Mr. Hayden was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Department of the Navy where he worked as a Lithographer. Mr. Hayden was a 34 year resident of Cape Coral. He was a founding member of Epiphany Episcopal Church in Cape Coral. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Lake Kennedy Senior Center and was a District Leader with the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his loving family including his five children, Thomas Hayden, Cape Coral, Carl Hayden, Tappahannock, VA, Margaret VanDeman, Marshall, VA and Robert Hayden, West Allis, WI; ten grandchildren, Katherine, Mary, Michael, Susan, John, Jennifer, Russel, Sabrina, Virginia and Charles; and 15 great grandchildren. Mr. Hayden is predeceased by wife, Vivian Hayden and son, Charles Hayden.

Funeral Services will be at _11:00 AM on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial with military honors will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery in their "Field of Honor". The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Rapidan, Inc., PO Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701 or the Marshall UMC, PO Box 144, Marshall, VA 20116. Arrangements are by Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery.
