Dawn Molignano Obituary
Dawn E. Molignano
Ft. Myers - Dawn E. Molignano, 61, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away suddenly on Friday, January 15.
Dawn grew up in North Weymouth right on the beach with her parents Dave and Eleanor Jones, her brother Michael, and two sisters Cathy and Pam. Her childhood was spent with her brother and sisters playing on the beach, swimming out to the neighborhood raft during the summer, enjoying breakfast her dad cooked on his hibachi right on the sand, and exploring nearby Webb Memorial Park and Grape Island. She met and married her husband Philip Molignano, who grew up right up the road from her. They raised their two daughters, Dusty (Dawn) & Erika, in East Weymouth. She was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed raising her daughters and later went to work for South Shore Savings Bank as a Teller in Weymouth.
Unfortunately, she was predeceased by her husband Philip in 1995, but found a second chance at love when she met Bob Evans of Ft. Myers, FL. Bob is a true Southern gentleman who loved not only Dawn, but her daughters and their children, as well. Dawn and Bob forged ahead and created a life together under the Florida sunshine. Her daughters were so happy that their Mom found happiness again and lived out the remainder of her days with Bob in the home they shared.
Dawn's greatest joy in life came from her grandchildren: Ava, Daniela and Patrick. She enjoyed getting weekly updates on everything happening in their lives from Girl Scouts to Cub Scouts, dance recitals, karate, travel and all the other adventures they had. They could always bring a smile to Nana Dawn's face.
Dawn is predeceased by her father David Jones and her brother Michael S. Jones. She is survived by her devoted partner Bob Evans (Ft. Myers, FL), her daughter Dawn Molignano Waters and her husband Jude (Hanson, MA), her daughter Erika Molignano Roland and her husband Barry (Braintree, MA), her mother Eleanor Jones (Weymouth, MA), sister Cathy Jones (Ft. Myers, FL), and Pamela McKay and her husband Peter (Weymouth, MA). She was also blessed with wonderful in-laws Stanley Molignano (Weymouth, MA), John and Dorothy Molignano (Westford, MA), Carole and John Erickson (Rockland, MA), Nancy Molignano (Pembroke, MA) and many wonderful nieces and nephews scattered across the United States.
Due to COVID restrictions a private funeral mass will be held for the family. They will hold a celebration of Dawn's life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Dawn wished for everyone to pay it forward and perform a random act of kindness. If you prefer to make a donation in her name, please consider the Salvation Army.
