Richard Newton Weaver Sr.

March 12, 1947 - October 3, 2024

Richard Newton Weaver, 77, of Madison Heights passed away surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Nelson County, Virginia to the late Horsley Alfred Weaver and Eva Esther Mays Weaver. He was a good hardworking man that loved his family having raised two children with his late wife, Dorothy Weaver, to whom he was married to for over 55 years before her passing. He was a truck driver his entire career and worked for Burley Trucking and Country Line Trucking. Richard leaves his cherished children, Richard Newton Weaver, Jr. (Angel Lawhorne) and Audrey Lynn Waters (Johnny O. Waters). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Ashley Orman, Jonathan Weaver, Mary Weaver, Kody West, Shaina Weaver, Richard Thomas Weaver, and Clinton Weaver. In addition to his grandchildren he is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Thomas Orman, Mason Orman, Ava Orman, and McKinze West. He is survived by his siblings, Janice Simpson, Charles Weaver (Maryann), Bertha Weaver, and Alfred Weaver (Kathy). He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date this spring. Driskill Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
