Alexis Dillard Obituary
Alexis Morgan Dillard, 17, of 85 Gibson Road, Altavista died Saturday, February 19, 2011.
She was born November 10, 1993 in Lynchburg, a daughter of Dennis Morgan Dillard, Jr. of Altavista and Pamela Cantrell Painter and her husband Timothy of Altavista. She was an employee of Frank's Pizza in Rustburg and loved music and dancing.
She is survived by one daughter, Natalie Grace Ashby and Natalie's father Matthew Tyler Ashby; one paternal grandmother, Glenda Cothran Jones of Altavista; two paternal great grandmothers, Irola Cothran and Estelle Dillard, both of Hurt; one paternal great grandfather, P.W. Cothran and his wife Lindie of Goode; one maternal grandfather, Kelly B. Cantrell of Roanoke; two brothers, Joshua S. Hubbard and his wife Sarah of Bedford and David S. Painter of Amherst; three sisters, Sara H. Bennett and her husband Michael of Altavista, Brooke A. Painter of Amherst and Sheyenne M. Painter of Altavista; two nephews, Michael Bennett, Jr. and J. J. Hubbard, Jr.; and a host of loving family members.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Steven Hubbard.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Dennis Nichols.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Wednesday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista.

Alexis was a great woman and mother she will always be loved and missed no matter what day goes by....we all just need to remember the great memories of her and all the great times we had....Matt if you read this I know you will take care of baby Natalie and if you ever need help a babysitter or just someone to talk to you know you have my number....we love you Alexis fly high babygirl you will forever be missed <3

So sad....I remember coaching her in cheerleading years ago. I hope that you will know you're all in my thoughts & prayers. May God be with all of her family & friends. Pam, you're especially in my thoughts. As a mother I know this is the worst thing you can face but I hope you will find comfort in knowing she touched many lives & I was honored to know you all.

Peace and Love to Baby Natalie and the family of Alexis. Alexis was a beautiful, bubbly person and we will never forget her. Her smile was contagious. May Gods comfort and love surround us as we mourn loosing an angel so soon. We Love You Alexis!
