Allen Davis Obituary
June 14, 1932 - February 16, 2021
Allen Dale Davis, 88, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Ann Sullivan Davis.
Born on June 14, 1932, in Luxora, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Marvin Green and Mary Davis. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and retired from the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He received four Purple Hearts for his heroic service to our country. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. He loved to do carpentry work as his hobby.
In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by one son, Richard Allen Davis (Binh) of New Jersey; one daughter, Nancy Ann Davis of Evington, Va.; two sisters, Oma Lee Cullum of Fla., and Alice Ruth Goyette of Mass.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. Burial will be held at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Heaven just got a great man and a champion for sure. Allen you will be missed brother. Thanks for always making me laugh. Rest in HIS arms brother. Love you and your beautiful wife. I will continue to check on her from time to time
