Arleen Geraldine Dube Burger

August 11, 1956 - May 18, 2021

Arleen Geraldine "Geri" Dube Burger, 64, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of Stephen A. Burger for 43 years.

Born on August 11, 1956, in Pensacola, Fla., she was a daughter of the late Carl Victor Dube and Pearl Mason Dube. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Floyd Burger; a brother, Fred Dube; and a sister, Carleen Belanger.

Arleen was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her children and grandchildren. She was a retired nurse having last worked for South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Fla., and attended Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, where she enjoyed her Bible Study Fellowship. While she loved and cherished her husband and children deeply, her crowning achievement was her love, care, and dedication to her grandchildren affectionately adored and known to them as "Grammy". She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren with chocolate, special outings, vacations, and quality time together.

In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory two children, Jason Carl Burger and wife, Nikki and their children, Sophia, Abbey, Jack, Amelia, and one on the way Emma of Lynchburg, and Amanda Elise Francisco and husband, Brian and their children, Robert, Reese, Nora, and Sadie, of Bartlett, Tenn.; five siblings, Patricia Turner of Slocomb, Ala., Gail Walker and husband, Buddy, of Bunnell, Fla., Bruce Dube and wife, Gloria, of Thornton, Colo., Peter Dube and wife, Betsy, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Paul Dube; her best friend, Deborah Gaines Barker; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Arleen's Life and Faith will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021, in Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church by Pastor Jonathan Falwell.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Liberty Godparent Home, 124 Liberty Mountain Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
