I probably met Randy in the early 60's when my family would drive the 10 miles to Saint Paris Ohio to buy our "school" shoes from Randy's father - Tommy Hahn's shoe store. From reading the many guest book entries, it is evident that Randy's demeanor must have been patterned after his kind and friendly father
(and mother). Sorry for your loss.

I was saddened when a friend informed me of Randy's passing. I worked weekends at WGOL in the late 80's. Randy was one of my favorate DJ's and getting to know him was thrill for a radio want a be. I had the pleasure some years later to do some work on your house and catch up on things. Sandy, His smile and laugh will always be in the airwaves of our memories. God Bless

I probably could write a book about my friend Randy Hahn. Randy more than anything was my friend and in life we don't have so many that we don't feel it when we lose one. They say that no one is irreplaceable, but there will never be another one like Randy. He was a talented radio announcer, an excellent cook and most importantly a good friend. I know for sure that anyone who spent even a little time with Randy will never forget him, I know I never will.

Randy will always be with those of us who remember when talk on radio was good-natured entertainment. Thanks for sharing him with us for all those odd hours!

I'm yet another of Randy's many former co-workers in radio, and I just learned of his passing. As "Rockin' Rob", I was the overnight guy at DJ105/103, and often stuck around to goof off with Darry & Randy in the morning.
One indelible memory is when I naively stopped by the station during a staged cookout, hungry and broke. As it turned out, it was more of a "bring your own meat" affair among the hosts rather than a "come one, come all" situation.
As a radio guy, I'm not supposed to be taken in by "theater of the mind" stuff like that, but I was young, inexperienced, and sleep-deprived. Randy gladly shared his steak with me... gave me the whole thing if I remember correctly. I'll never forget him for that.
I'm embarassed again in just retelling it, but I see it as just one last chance to thank him again.

Randy could make me laugh under life's most trying times. I have an encyclopedia's worth of memories of Randy and I doin mornings together at "Oldies". No one can make you Laugh like Randy at 5am. We were radio partners and once were neighbors. We got into more trouble than I have ever gotten in my entire career. God Bless You Randy and the Family. I will never have memories in this business like I had with Randy. If you knew him like Fran and I did You know he was crazy and all about the good times. Randy I miss you...there will never be another like you...those were the good 'ol days. We've lost one of the great ones...God Bless Randy..........

I'm just one of the many lucky folks who got to work with Randy in the broadcasting industry in the past. I was stunned and saddened to hear the news of his passing. His larger than life persona, the belly laughs we shared, that gravelly booming voice, huge warm smile, firm handshake, and kind words that greeted me every day were things that I always looked forward to, and will always carry with me. I hadn't seen Randy for a long time, but I know I'll never forget him. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Randy and I worked together in the days of the old WJJS-FM and WLGM-AM 1320. He did the morning show and was one of the greatest people to work with. He always made me smile and laugh ... boy did he make me laugh. Sandy I am so sorry for your loss. Randy was truly a treasure and will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched.

Randy worked for me, well, I should say with me, in the mid-90s at WLVA doing the morning show.
I still feel bad about making him do his show from home one snowy morning when he couldn't get in to the station, but it made radio fun again for a few hours and I've never forgotten Randy or that story.

Randy was my morning partner for many years on WGOL. His sense of humor, passion for the business and love for his wife and his boys were
evident in everything he said or did. Randy Hahn will always be a big
part of my fondest memories in my 27 years in radio and I will miss him. He's Hahn and he's gone...but he will never be forgotten. To Sandy
and the boys..my prayers are with you.

The lynchburg area has lost a fine individual who has entertained our radio market, for decades. Randy, has been an inspiration, for many of us. Randy, was a great co-worker in radio, to have been associated, with, as well, as having Randy, as a friend. Randy Hahn, is an icon, who will be greatly missed, by those who knew him. May God bless the Hahn Family during, this difficult time.

Randy & I worked together at the now-defunct WLVA (590 AM) ca. 1980/81. I was doing a 4-hour music show (6 to 10pm) prior to Randy's OpenLine (10pm to 2am). Randy did a masterful job until he walked out one night 5 minutes before airtime after management had deducted legitimate long-distance phone calls from his measly paycheck. I inherited the show and had enormous shoes to try to fill. Randy was always kind and gracious to me and I have missed him since that day he left. Thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve. May the Lord fill the void left behind.

Sorry to hear of Randy's passing and wish to extend our sympathy to his family. We always enjoyed listening to Randy's radio show and remember his familiar sign-off remarks to Sandy telling her to,"Put the coffee pot on, I'm coming home!" Thank you Randy for the joy you gave to us and your many fans!
