July 28, 1952 - August 31, 2025
Edith Poole Bomar, age 73 of Nathalie, passed away on August 31, 2025, in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Francis Greer Poole and Mrs. Nellie Mae Bohannan Poole Hazelwood.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Bomar of the home; daughters, Mitsy Roller (Boone) of South Boston, Melony Elliott (Daniel) of Nathalie; stepson, Marshall Bomar (Renee) of Greensboro, N.C.; grandson, Lucas Thibodeau and great-grandson, Abel Thibodeau of Bedford; sister, Linda Poole of Norfolk; brother, Terry Hazelwood of Victoria; and a host of special friends, family, and loving caregivers, Dale Scott and Angela King.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brittney Paige Massie.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Childrey Baptist Church in Nathalie with Pastor Jerry Stanfield, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will begin on Thursday at 1 p.m., with family visitation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the chapel of Jeffress Funeral Home And Cremation Service in Brookneal.
