The first time (1973) I moved to Lynchburg with my husband, I worked for Jimmy (downtown then). I loved working at Forehand and getting to know Lynchburg. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I have the best memories of spending time at the Forehands´ home on Williams Road. I was a childhood friend of Karen´s at Paul Munro and my best memories are of times spent at the Forehands. Karen and Linda´s father took us to those downtown Christmas parades where we got to watch from a warm building and drink hot chocolate. Also going to UVA football games and collecting confetti for the ride home. And spending time at his parents´ home on Peakland Place with the elevator. His signs were everywhere! Boonsboro Shopping Center and on and on! He made Lynchburg what it is today. Karen and Max and Brandon and Ryan, my heart is with you all.
