Margaret Coffey

St. John

Margaret Ann Coffey St. John, 71, of Snapps Mill Road, Spout Spring, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at her residence. She was the wife of Lloyd Bennette St. John Sr.

Born in Campbell County on Feb. 21, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Joyce Ritson Coffey. Margaret attended Bible Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charles Evans Sr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Cheryl St. John of Appomattox; two sisters, Mollie Kirby of Lynch Station and Ammie Keatts of Danville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Betty Coffey of Altavista, and Andrew and Sandra Coffey of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth, Lindsay Marie and Larissa Gayle; a great-granddaughter, Layla Marie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Bible Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert E. Lee Jr., with burial following in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 21, 2008, and other times at the residence.
