Mark Honaker Obituary
Mark Anthony Honaker, 62, of Gladstone, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at UVA Medical Center. Born on February 14, 1959, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Calvin Louis "Bud" Honaker III and the late Evelyn Louise McCormick Honaker.
Mark was the owner of Honaker and Son Logging, LLC and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on the river. In his earlier years, he enjoyed going to dances with his friends and drinking beer. Mark also loved antique cars and trucks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Louis "Buddy Boy" Honaker IV and a sister, Gwen Moses.
Mark is survived by his children, Wesley Trever Gowen (Heather) and Karri Honaker (David Hall); one granddaughter, Kendra LeAnn Gowen; sister, Marcia Bryant (Bernard); numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jerry Childress and Pastor Richard Keith McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at McCormick Family Cemetery.
