Mark Leonard Watson, 57, of Big Island, Va., passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was a Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant at Centra Heart and Vascular Institute - Stroobants Cardiovascular. Mark served our country in the United States Navy and was a proud member of North Bedford Baptist Church. He enjoyed tending to animals on the family farm, Fields of Faith, as well as spending his free time on or by the lake. He was always working on new projects or tending to others with kindness and compassion. It was his specialty. His greatest joy came from time spent with family. He was the husband of Denise Watson. Born September 3, 1968, in Altoona, Pa., he was a son of Leonard and Patricia Watson. In addition to his wife, Denise; he is survived by three daughters, Amerisa Marie Hoffman and her husband Connor, Raegan and Rylee Watson; two grandchildren, Paxton and Baylor Hoffman; as well as another grandson, expected in December; three brothers, Shawn Watson and his wife Lori, Jason Watson, and Adam Watson and his wife Adria; three sisters, Kelly Dixon, Kandy Coble and her husband Ralph, and Kim Irwin and her husband, Thomas. He has joined his granddaughters, Keagan and Kinley in eternal glory.

A memorial service and celebration of Marks life will be held November 17th, at 11 a.m., at North Bedford Baptist Church. The burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery immediately after the service.
