Dear Hammett Family,
I grew up with Monica. Went to school with her from elementary onward. We weren't close but always friendly. I was just looking at a birthday party for Lee Lucas that we were both at. We were having a ball.
I will always remember her as fun and happy. Deeply sorry for your loss. She will be missed.

A beautiful soul taken way too soon! The picture of her on her wedding day shows how her smile always was, contagious. We were apart of each others special moments in life and I am honored to have had her by my side at my wedding and at the birth of my first child. I will miss her so. My condolences to the family.

I knew Monica because when I was little, she was a close friend of my older sister. She was very friendly and I remember her voice distinctively, her smile lite up a room. my heart breaks for the family and friends, who feel her loss so deeply. So very sad to hear about her passing. It´s nice to see how many lives, She did touch in her time here. May God be with her family and friends at this time. Condolences and prayers for your family

Had the pleasure of growing up in the same neighborhood with Monica & going to the same schools. I was 2 years older but still spent several years in the same schools together riding the same bus. I was working at the same company as her, her dad & brother in the early 90´s before the closure of the CT facility & move to VA. Monica was always a beautiful soul. Thanks to social media I was able to connect with her several years ago when I took a trip to Virginia with a friend. We met at Chick fil A for lunch and spent a couple hours catching up. I was thrilled to see how much Monica loved the Lord and that we shared a common faith. I am so thankful to know exactly where she is now, safe in the arms of our Savior, free of the afflictions of this world. I pray that her family be filled with God´s peace that passes all understanding. May your memories carry you through until you meet again.

We were blessed to have your family in our lives. We watched the kids grow up and
remember well Monica´s chatty little self with her great big smile. That smile stayed the same over the decades. We are so very sorry and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. All our love Brian and Kathi

I'm so very to hear about Monica's passing. We were neighbors for many years and I looked forward to seeing her smile and wave as she went by. She was one of the sweetest ladies I've known. She loved her flowers. I had given her a Lily before she moved to West VA. Her family and friends are in our prayers.
