Robert Wills

Robert Percy Wills Robert Percy Wills, 83, of Amherst County passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012. Born in Nelson County on November 6, 1928, he was the son of the late Laura Barita Megginson Wills and Percy Millard Wills. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cerise Cunningham Wills, and his brother, Julian Wills. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from CSX Railroad. Survivors include: Two daughters, Robbie (J.B.) Hamilton of Vancouver, WA; Mary Ann (Frankie) Bryant; their brother in Christ, Jackie (Judy) Cunningham of Forest; two grandchildren, Heather (Tim) Hulen of Vancouver, WA; Chad (Brooks) Bryant of Amherst; three great-grandchildren, Zacharie Hewes of Vancouver, WA; Morgan and Reagan Bryant of Amherst; two sisters, Annie W. Payne of Madison Heights and Mary Setler of Roswell, GA. A special thank you to the staff at Fairmont Crossing Cedar Ridge, especially Swanda, Jackie, Kenny and Evelyn. Your care and concern for him and his family made such a difference in his life and ours. Thank you. Arrangements have been entrusted to Driskill Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Miriam Dakin will preside over the graveside service at Amherst Cemetery on Monday, September 17th at 11:30 AM. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #16.
