Stuart Saunders Obituary
In addition to his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by first wife Gale Saunders. In addition to his wife, Stuart is survived by his children: Stuart Hunter Saunders, Jr., and his wife, Cheryl, of Fredericksburg, VA, Jeffrey Lee Saunders and his wife, Delia, Hurt, VA, Lori Lane Williams and her husband, John, of Montpelier, VA, and Lisa LeAnn Snow and her husband, Greg, of, Forest; a step daughter; Diana Brown and her husband, Dwayne, of Lynchburg; a step son: Franklin McDaniel, of Asheville, NC; a sister: Beatrice Spillman, of Spotsylvania, VA, eleven grandchildren: Beverly Wilson, Jeffrey Lee Saunders, Jr., Victoria Saunders, Ashley Worsham, Hunter Ledford, Christie Snow, Rebecca Williams, Taylor Williams, Kaylin McDaniel, Ashleigh Brown, and Colston Brown;three great grandchildren, and his boys: Mr. Lee and Nic, his pet dogs. Stuart loved playing the guitar. In fact he could play anything with strings. He loved sweets, especially cherry pies and chocolate. He loved people and being with family and friends. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. A celebration of Stuart's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Grooms officiating.

Joanie and family, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all of You upon the loss of Stuart. He was one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure to know. Always upbeat, never complaining and full of fun. I know that Stuart is playing guitar in Heaven. I will miss talking with Him. My thoughts and prayers are with You.
