I knew Brendan and Kyle from Garden City Park, I used to be with them all day every day for years and years. Kyle and I were very very close and he was one of my earliest best friends in life. I remember when this tragedy happened and I think about both of them all the time even all these years later. I miss you both so much! Rest in Paradise for Eternity brothers!

It gets more and more difficult to bring myself to this page, year after year, special occasions, holidays, just to pull up all the emotion and emptiness again and again.
But, I still feel I need to acknowledge the day, May 23rd, which is Brendan's 35th birthday. What a beautiful boy, and beautiful soul he was to everyone who was lucky enough to know him. He was an amazing brother to Kyle and Adam and "Mr. Personality" to all.
I love you, Brendan, and miss you every moment. But, I'm sure you have made heaven a brighter place for all.

It is hard to believe that 5 years have past since I lost my two sons, Brendan & Kyle.
I deal with the loss day to day, moment to moment, but I get through it somehow.
I will spend this day reflecting on their lives, not my loss.
I will spend my time remembering the joy they brought, not the pain I feel.
It is a celebration of the amazing young men that they were and
the happiness they created in the short time they had here with us.
As I do every year, on this day, I ask every one of you
to stop for just a moment and look around you.
Appreciate everything you have and everyone you know.
Tell your Mom & Dad, your kids, your brothers & sisters and your friends
that you love them. Tell them that you are glad they are part of your life.

I did not know that you had been in contact with my Ex Curtis regarding the similarities in our son's. I am truly sorry for your loss of both your boys as I can understand the pain you are going through. I miss my Brendan daily as I know you do, but, we now know that they have each other to keep them company.

One of my earliest memories of the Tom Hurd family is standing in front of the 34th St. Perfumania with Tom on St. Patrick's Day 1997 (?) and here comes Adam walking down the sidewalk (on a school day!). Tom was cool at the moment but I'm sure things got dicey later. From that day on I have nothing but the fondest memories of Tom as a loving and devoted father. I've often thought of his relationship with his boys as I've been raising my kids these past three years. Tom, Chris, Adam, and Joanne, you are in our thoughts as you endure a loss that none should have to.

I can't even imagine what I could say to make the pain you all must be feeling alittle less painful. I am just a stranger who read about this horrible accident and wanted to send my prayers your way. I can't imagine losing one child and here you have to indure the pain of losing two. It doesn't seem comprehendable.
