Another year of missing Dennis. His bright smiling face with us at every Fun City Bowl, tail gates, and Christmas parties. His laugh, wit, and shining personality. His sense of humor remained intact even after his body betrayed him. It was an honor to strap on pads and a helmet and play along side of him. I miss you old friend and teammate. Dennis was one of the first vets on the team that took this rookie under his wing back in 1988. He made you feel like you were a life long friend and part of his soul. He would walk into the locker room on on the field and you knew that today was going to be a very good day. Whenever I need a pick me up that is all I need to put a smile on my face.

I can't believe that it has been 10 years since Dennis passed. I will always remember him as a good friend and team mate. Spending time with Dennis when he became ill was a joy. Each one of us knew that if the circumstances were reversed he would be there for us. He made us laugh and he made us cry and I will always remember him with love. Continue to rest in peace #66.

66-one year has flown by. I still find myself, when passing the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway thinking-let me take a ride up and visit Dennis. Then reality sets in. RIP buddy!

Hard to believe one year has gone by. But then again 38 years have gone by. We were close teammates for those first ten. How can I forget you giving out "the gum that comes in your mouth" before each game. How many laughs did we all get from "get McGowan in-get McGowan out". You will be missed and never forgotten.

Dennis was a great teammate and friend. His greatest strengths were displayed from his sick bed. If I called or visited him, he deferred your concerns for him and immediately began to ask about my family in particular my son Dante. He always wanted to know the status of the PD football team and if possible a play by play description of the Fire game.when things appear gloomy in my life, I remind myself of the courage Dennis displayed these last 8 years.

I remember Dennis as a tough advisary on the football field. I played against him many times during practice. Dennis was an aggressive and determined opponent. He battled that horrible disease for many years with the same toughness.Dennis will always be in my thoughts and never forgotten.
