Dear Boys,
I met your Mom when she went on a cruise to Alaska with WALK radio station. I was one of a few gals who became instant friends on that trip. I remember going on a helicopter with her. We did several things together when we got home to LI, like going out on a paddle boat out of Riverhead, going to SmithPoint Beach, going over to a mutual friend's house for a bar-b-que. She talked about how much love she had for "her boys!" She was always concerned about you both, and wanted the best for you. I haven't seen your Mom in quite a few years and was saddened to hear about her passing.
She will be remembered favorably by us all. I am sorry I didn't hear about her passing sooner, I would have liked to tell you both how special she was (but I'm sure you both know that!!) She will be in my prayers and I will put a smile on my face when I think of her.

I met your mother, by chance, a few months ago and we became fast friends. We spoke again a few weeks later on the phone. I was so shocked and a saddened to hear about her death. I would have come to her wake but heard the sad news too late. In the short time I knew her, I knew she was special. My prayers are with you all.

Diane was my best friend at ASJ.We shared so much together including our birthday. We were both born on September 21. From her days in Centereach to college in Vermont, we have always kept in touch. It was 43 years ago that we graduated from highschool together. The news today (from Ruthanne Croal)was not expected. I spoke with Diane two months ago.
My heartfelt sympathy to Danny and Billy. I am sorry.

Today we received the sad news that dear Diane has passed away and we are heartbroken. Peter and I had hoped that she would come down to Florida and visit us, but everytime we asked her, she was busy. That was her life, always busy. We only spoke a few times a year, but I started to call her a week ago. Oh, how I wish I had. Our love and prayers go out to you Bill and Dan. We loved both of your parents very much.
Sincerely, Mary and Peter Popolizio and family

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
