Donald Axinn Obituary

AXINN - Donald Everett, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory's (CSHL) Board of Trustees, faculty and administration mourn the passing of Donald Everett Axinn. Don was a dear friend and benefactor of CSHL. Elected to the Board of Trustees in 2006, he served on the building, finance and nominating committees. The Donald Everett Axinn Laboratory opened this year as part of the largest construction project ever undertaken by CSHL. The successful completion of this building project was in large part due to Don's generous support and guidance. We will miss his enthusiasm for the research and education mission of CSHL and cherish the poetry that he shared with us. We express our deepest sympathy to his wife Joan, their children and grandchildren. Eduardo G. Mestre, Board Chairman; Bruce Stillman, President; James D. Watson, Chancellor Emeritus; W. Dillaway Ayres, Chief Operating Officer.
