We are saddened to hear that Ed had passed away .. May Gods love and light embrace his soul for all eternity..
We are deeply sorry that Peggie had just a short time with Ed ..
We all may have met only once but we all had so much fun singing karaoke with the band at a bar in the Poconos in Dec. 2014 ..
Peggie has a voice of an angel !
We will never ever forget.. Glad to have met you both ..
Peggie, may God comfort you and give you strength during this difficult time , but know you are never alone with Ed by your side ♡
With heartfelt condolences..
Christine and James
We did our best to surround him with love and family

My dear friend and nearly sister,
I am so glad that God brought us together. He knew that we would need each other. I am so sorry that your time to share life with Eddie was too short, but at least you had each other for a while. And I am sad that our time together was so short, but I am glad that God thought Mom's house was an answer to your prayers and that you and Eddie were an answer to mine. My parents treasured that house. I'm sure that you found lots of "Joe Kay" modifications while you were turning it into your own special place. I wish that you could have enjoyed it together longer because you really did a fantastic job of making it YOUR home. Just you and Eddie. May God watch over you now and help you to transition to a new normal when you are ready. You know that I love you tons and more. I pray that you are healing in bits too small to see or feel, but healing just the same. Praying for you often Peigi and thrilled that you are so close to the Lord that you are already being showered with love and blessings, even in the midst of your struggles. May you find peace and feel the love of the Lord every day. Love to you, Pat

Mr. and Mrs Fabian, David, Peigi and Barbara,
As many of you know I was a classmate of Ed's at South Side High School and I wish to convey my deepest condolences on his passing he was a wonderful young man always striving for the best and it showed in his career with the United States Army. Those of us who knew Ed were lucky as he was always willing to lend a hand in whatever project you were doing and sometimes without you even asking Ed was there. He made all of us that knew him from South Side High School proud. His memory will live on as we go about our daily tasks. God Bless you Edward Fabian you were a true hero on the battlefields and our hearts your tour of duty is complete go in peace. I will never forget you. It truly was a pleasure to have crossed paths with you may we cross paths again in the future. Members of The Fabian Family may reach out to me at [email protected]

Sweet Peigi,
I knew the first time you introduced Ed to me that he was the one for you. Your eyes shone and he beamed. You were an exceptional partner and wife during his fight for life. You are blessed. Love Kathy

I owe a great deal to Ed Fabian. The livelihood my family and I enjoy can be directly attributed to Ed's belief in me to be a valuable asset to the Army civilian workforce. Ed was a polymath and never ceased to amaze me with the wide range of things he could do or accomplish. The man had ceaseless energy and demonstrated a strong passion for his faith. I learned much from him and was sadden by his move back to New York years ago. Given the craziness of that time in his life I don't blame him at all. The Lord wanted him back with family and to meet the love of his life, a far better option to hanging around old war buddies. Sadly, it is there he fought his last battle with an adversary too great for modern medicine. Many times this weekend I thought of Ed and times we all spent together. Those thoughts turned to scenes in my mind of where he is now, in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Imagine the smile on our Lord's face as he met and embraced Ed. Picture the tears of joy Ed shed in the arms of our Lord. Imagine him feeling an unconditional love so vast and powerful it saves mankind. We had good times while toiling on this mortal coil, but that pales in comparison to where Ed is now. I imagine Ed walking and talking with the disciples trying to feed his inquisitive mind and spirit. I'm truly sadden by the loss of a brother in Christ, but at the same time I could not be happier for him. Vaya con Dios amigo

It was a privilege and honor to serve with Ed for over 8 years at Ft Monroe, to include a short time in Afghanistan. He was a strong advocate in supporting Soldiers and taking care of folks he led. My sympathies and prayers for you all. Peace. ~ Dave
