Glenn Mohrman Obituary

Mohrman - Glenn Ott, passed away at Stonybrook University hospital on February 24th, 2023. He was 60 years old. Glenn was born in Manhasset, NY on April 10th 1962, to Harry and Diana Mohrman. He went to Half Hollow Hills West and then attended University of Virginia where he played Lacrosse and studied business. Glenn earned his MBA at NYU Stern School of Business. He most recently worked at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor. Glenn enjoyed golfing, walking the family dogs and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Southampton and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Southampton NY; his two sons, Tyler Randall Mohrman and McKinley Ward Mohrman; his parents, Harry and Diana Mohrman; his

siblings, Lisa Mohrman,

Sharon Walsh (Matt), and Todd Mohrman; his nieces, Sara and Kaylee Walsh, Ashley and Mia Pittenger; his nephews, Ryan and Sean Walsh and Ryan Pittenger; his mother-in-law LaMarr Pittenger; as well as his beloved dogs, Buddha and Pax. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Claire Mohrman, Estelle and Hugh P. Stone, and his father-in-law John Pittenger. A celebration of life will be held later this spring.

this was a memory that I shared with Harry about my remembrance of Glenn ott Mohrman when Harry and I were two young coaches at NEW Hyde Park JV team a young tot who Harry fondly referred to as Ott was all over the practice field with his lax stick with Harry playing a soft catch with him. it was a beautiful site and one i always remembered fondly. jack Salerno

I am so sadned by this great loss. Glenn was a household name in the Aurrichio family. Glenn dated my sister in high school, and part of his college years, however, he made a lasting impression on our family. His athleticism was bar none, and off the field he was a an intelligent , kind hearted, respectful, young man.

I played football and lacrosse at Freeport High School for Coach Harry Mohrman in the early 70´s. I also taught with Harry for 42 years. Harry would often bring Ott to practices and he would run around with the team. You knew Ott was destined to be a great athlete. He definitely fulfilled that destiny.

As Glenn´s little sister, Sharon´s childhood buddy since 1st grade, I have the fondest memories of growing up in the Mohrman´s home. Glenn and my sister, Joanne LaCarrubba went to HHH HS West together and were good friends. Sharon and I were the little pipsqueak sisters that would go to the High School to watch Glenn´s basketball games and my sister cheering the team on the cheerleading squad. Sharon and I were up in the bleachers with the "bleacher creatures" throwing confetti and stomping our feet for the team! My memories of Glenn in the house are surrounded by boys´ sports equipment lol. He was always so kind to us and I remember him as quiet, yet strong, kind and funny. The recollection of my young impression is that Glenn was like a God in that house. I felt deep sorrow and shock to hear of his tragic passing and my heart goes out to his wife and children and the entire Mohrman family. I am heartbroken for your loss and have been thinking of you all with love and wrapping my arms around you in prayer.

I am devastated by what has happened . There is not enough time and space to go through the memories . Ott was my closest friend and to this day our families are inseparable . He was such a great person and inspiration to me through the years . He was like Superman . I feel
like a part of my family is gone . He will always hold such a special

I played Golf with Glenn more than a few times at Montauk and shared many a story. He was a pleasure to spend 5 hrs chasing that little ball then share a drink at the 19th Hole. We both Lived in Huntington and would compare notes. My sympathy to you and the family.
