Joseph Guterding Obituary

GUTERDING - Joseph T. , 73, of Fort Meyers Fl, formerly of Rockaway NY died Saturday February 10, 2007 at Shell Point Hospice Ft Meyers Fl after a long illness. He was a loving Husband, father and a good friend. Joe is survived by his wife Patricia Guterding, daughter Kathleen Williams sons Joseph W. Guterding, Richard M Guterding and Kevin M Guterding all of Long Island NY and stepson Scott Benjamin of Mineer IL. Sisters Helen Metz and and Rose Taccia of Long Island along with his eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 16, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Towers Funeral Home, 2681 Long Beach Road, Oceanside NY. A mass of Remembrance will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church Saturday morning at 10:30 February 17, 2007. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft. Meyers, Florida 33908.

Joe was a good a neighbor and a person that showed courage in the face of a debilitating and relentless disase. He will be remembered by us all as a hero.
