Joseph McMorrow Obituary

McMORROW - Joseph P 91, passed peacefully into eternal life on May 16 with his family at his side. Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Peg (McIntyre), daughters Linda (Marc) O'Riordan, Patrice McMorrow and Jayne Settle as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Betty O'Dare and Ann (John) Cronin and many cousins. He was predeceased by their son Robert and his brother Tom. Joe served his country in the USN in WW II and was a decorated member of the NYPD. Joe was quick witted and he thoroughly enjoyed all things Irish. He was a devoted husband and a wise and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the first to encourage us, he loved to laugh and he taught us many lessons by his example. Joe McMorrow was an all around humble, generous man. We will miss him. There will be a Mass celebrating Joe's life on Friday, June 26, 10am, St. Mark's Church, Shoreham, N.Y. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

My Dad was a kind, generous, quick thinking man.
He taught us to listen more , learn more.
He believed in paying it forward
He prayed to Mother Teresa & he attended morning Mass for many years, both in Delray Beach and on Long Island .
He was a good man, who quietly helped many.
He had many kind friends.
We will miss him
