Dear Michael,
Although we weren't really close during our middle school and high school days, when I heard that you died I felt horrible. I tried to email your mother to express my condolences and someone showed me this site. I was drawn back to it today and wanted to leave you a message on here.
My condolences to all your friends and family. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one....
Michael, you will always be remembered by me as being a part of my school years.. whether it was just a quick hi or a smile in the hallway... You were always kind and sweet! We always got along and although I haven't seen you in years.. I am (as well as others from our class) still saddened by your loss.
I hope you are at peace. You and your family are all very lucky to have each other. Your memory will always be kept alive.

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

THE HEAVENS STARTED SMILING AS A NEW ANGEL GREW HIS WINGS THEY KNEW OF HIS GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS AND ALSO OF THE LITTLE THINGS THEY SMILED AS THEY GREETED THE NEWEST ANGEL OF THEIR PACK WHILE EVERYONE ELSE CRIED BELOW FOR THE ANGEL THEY WANTED BACK. THE SUN SHONE BRIGHTLY AND ALL THE CLOUDS PARTED THE HEAVENS ABOVE SMILED WHILE THOSE BELOW STOOD BROKEN-HEARTED. THE HEAVENS WELCOMED THIS NEW ANGEL WITH THE SAME SMILE THE PEOPLE KNEW, THEY STOOD IN AWE AND HAPPINESS AS HIS NEW WINGS GREW AND GREW. THEY KNEW OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND THE STRENGTH THAT HE SHOWED, THE ANGELS STOOD THERE SMILING AS THE PEOPLE CRIED BELOW.THE HEAVENS CONTINUED GLEMING FOR THEIR NEW ANGEL WAS A GIFT FOR THEY KNEW THAT ANY SADNESS ANY HEAVY HEART , HE COULD LIFT HE COULD CHEER ONE UP WITH A SIMPLE WORD OR TWO HIS LAUGHTER SO CONTAGIOUS TO ANYONE HE KNEW EVEN STRANGERS STARTED SMILING WHENEVER HE WAS NEAR AND AS THE HEAVENS SMILED THE PEOPLE SHED TEAR AFTER TEAR. THE HEAVENS DANCED WITH LOVE FOR THE ANGEL THEY HAD TAKEN LOOKED DOWN AT THOSE FROM ABOVE HE STOOD THERE STRONG AND SMILING JUST AS HE HAD ALWAYS DONE HE SAID WITH STRENGTH AND VIBRANCE HIS NEW LIFE HAD BEGUN THAT HE'D ALWAYS BE AROUND WITH EVERY SMILE AND EVERY LAUGH HE'D BE IN EVERY MEMORY IN EVERY PERSON'S PAST HE'D BE DANCING WITH THE BREEZE ON A WARM SUMMER DAY HE'D BE IN THE SWEET SMELL OF A FLOWER ON A NEW SPRING DAY HE'D BE IN EVERY SNOWFLAKE THAT DANCED IN THE COLD HE'D BE FOREVER YOUNG IN THE HEARTS OF THE YOUNG AND OLD. AND AS THE HEAVENS SMILED THE PEOPLE BEGAN TO SMILE TOO FOR AS THEY LISTENED TO THOSE WORDS THEY THANKED THE LORD FOR THE ANGEL THAT THEY KNEW.
