I am so very sad over the sudden loss of my dear friend, Paul. From the first time I met him at a school bus stop in Commack in Sept 1968 I could tell he had a zest for life, was adventurous, a good listener, and supportive. During our friendship I can see him now: explaining in earnest why Commack HS South Class of 1974 was going to select for its individual yrbk pictures an oval shape, resembling an egg. He said "it symbolizes life;" prodding me to join him in trying out for and becoming members of the cross-country team; understanding some challenges I faced; and sending me letters and cassette tapes while I was overseas in the Army. Paul Aquino's legacy will endure. May he rest in peace.
