I am sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man. While I have not known him personally he was always a sweet, kind man and an awesome Land Surveyor. All my sympathies, I will remember him fondly.

I met Richard, while we were both doing family histories (our grandfathers were brothers) We had a great time sharing our info with long conversations on the phone and in person. A true genuine nice guy. My thoughts are with you all.

What a wonderful, sincere guy he was! Dick was Master of Amityville Lodge when I was raised, and remained a friend and mentor throughout our friendship. His wisdom will be missed at life's table.

Dear Mrs. Drake & family,
Richard & I go back a long way. My Mom, and his, Marion, were long time friends, and for a time my mother used to do house-cleaning for the Drake house.
He & I were members of Amityville Lodge, and if my memory serves me correctly, even went to Amityville High School together.
You, his family, and the community at large have lost a great friend, and I share your sadness.
God Bless You all.
