William Ahrens Jr. A man I knew and will always know as Bill. He will be missed by all and respected by all who knew him, but I will always remember the fun loving man who made me fall in love with long needle Christmas trees and set me on my first tractor ride in Moriches after taking me out on the old boat called “the yellow bird”. A few years later he showed me what his job was like by giving me a hand digger and introducing me to a dry well. I offer my deepest condolences to the entire family and I share in your loss.

Knew Bill when my mother owned Hudson Point Fishing Station in Freeport. Gave me my first ride on a motorcycle. RIP. Sympathies to the family as that was well over 50 years ago.

The Ahrens Family,
Just a note to try to describe our heart felt feeling about Bill. We were in disbelief when we were told that Bill was not going to make it after so many days of getting positive views. What makes this even more shocking is that we spoke with Bill often while he was being treated in the hospital and he sounded so assuring that all was going well. Bill, we love you and you will always be in our thoughts and Tootie will be in good hands.

Bill will never be forgotten by the Turnbull clan. As our surrogate father/grandfather, he was one of the greatest friends Nana and Pop had, and he will always carry a special place in our hearts. Thank you so much, Bill, for taking such good care of us. All our love to Tootie and the Ahrens family.
