John Frost Obituary

John Clay Frost, 62, of Williamsburg, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon, September 13, 2022 following a farm accident.

John was born April 16, 1960 in Beattyville, Kentucky, one of twelve children of Verlin and Mary Effie Slover Frost and came to Connersville as a child with his family. He was a 1979 graduate of Connersville High School.

On April 12, 1980, he was married to Beth Renee Roberts in Connersville Baptist Temple. In 2011, they purchased a small farm in the Williamsburg area. Mrs. Frost survives.

While dating Beth, he became employed at Cox Supermarket. Later, he worked as the assistant meat cutter for the County Market. Following his time at the market, he managed several Pizza Hut locations and then went on to manage Carver's Family Restaurant in Richmond. Later, he became the food manager at the Wayne County Jail for 14 years. Most recently, he was employed at Beldin in Richmond.

A faithful member of Connersville Baptist Temple, John served as a deacon, a trustee, and participated in other church activities.

In his leisure, he enjoyed farming and fishing. Most importantly, he loved helping others in need.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Beth Frost; two daughters, Christina (Robb) Kelley of Columbus, Indiana and Heather (Dillon) Brockman of Fountain City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Sophia Brockman, Finnegan Kelley, Joseph Brockman, Aiden Brockman, and Oakley Kelley; eight siblings, Donna Sheplar of Clio, Alabama, Ranona (Nick) Chasteen of Clio, Alabama, David Frost of Ozark, Alabama, Shawn (Cheryl) Frost of Liberty, Indiana, James (Melissa) Frost of Samson, Alabama, Mary (Michael) Terry of Greensburg, Indiana, Kendra (Curt) Fleming of Abbeville, Alabama, and Jehu Frost of Clio, Alabama; his mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Mary Alice Roberts of Connersville; a brother-in-law, David (Tammy) Roberts of Connersville; a sister-in-law, Kim (Keith) Smith of Webster, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Verlin Frost, Jr., Nellie Charlene Frost, and Vicky Lynn Frost.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Connersville Baptist Temple. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Ferreira officiating.
