Send FlowersTravis Caldwell, 41, of Connersville died peacefully Friday, August 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
The son of Robert "Bob" and Kathy Campbell Caldwell, Travis was born on May 15, 1984. He attended and graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 2002. An entrepreneur and craftsman, Travis started his own wood working business. He hand-carved and created many items including wooden keepsake boxes, cat trees, décor, amps, guitars, pipes, and a full dining room table just to name a few. Travis' work was exceptional, and his passion showed in every piece he made. When he wasn't working, you could find Travis connecting with nature in his garden, hiking amongst the trees or traveling to the mountains. He was an avid music lover, with an extensive vinyl collection. Travis has seen over 100 live concerts across the country with his friends and sister Megan. In addition, he enjoyed reading, especially his favorite series: The Lord of The Rings trilogy. Above all else, Travis' favorite thing to do was spend time with his close-knit family and his cats: Juniper and Duchess. Though he is already deeply missed, Travis will be remembered as a kindhearted man that would do anything for those he loved.
In addition to his parents: Bob and Kathy, Travis is survived by his sister and her husband: Megan and Nick Chandler; half-brother and his wife: Brian and Crescent Caldwell; uncle and aunt: Kenny and Roberta Campbell; nephew and nieces: Brice Caldwell, Stephanie Gough, Andra Caldwell; special friends: Dustin Becker, Casey Jackman; uncle: Doc Keen; aunt: Ellen Campbell; many cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
Travis is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: John and Ruth Kunkel Caldwell; maternal grandparents: Fredrick and Edna Campbell; uncles: Charles Caldwell, John "Snook" Caldwell, Steve Campbell, Matthew Campbell; aunt: Donna Campbell Keen.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Travis' life will be conducted from 4:00p.m., until 7:00 p.m., on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. The Family kindly asks guests to wear their favorite concert T-shirt. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alquina Blue Arrows Park in his honor.
