Brontis White Obituary

Dec. 1949 – Aug. 2010

Brontis Lee White of Callaway, Fla., passed away at home in the early morning hours of Aug. 17, 2010.

He is survived by one sister, Nancy Esmiller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Estelle White; two sisters, Frances Revanell Williams and Sharon Rose Conrad; and two brothers, Loren Bartow White and Hilton Lee White.

Brontis was born Dec. 8, 1949, in Panama City, Fla., and attended Rutherford High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam as a medic in Hanoi and the DMZ. After his tour in Vietnam, he returned to Panama City for several years before re-entering the Army and was stationed in Germany. One of Brontis' happiest memories was the day the Berlin Wall came down.

There will be a family gathering from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Under The Oaks Park in Parker, Fla.

The family wishes to thank Covenant Hospice for their diligent care during Brontis' last days.

We are so sorry to hear that Brontis has passed away. We both have so many great memories of the happy times we all spent together as teenagers and young adults in Parker and Callaway and yes all the parties at Silcox. We will miss his great smile. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
