Benjamin Ginck Obituary

COAL TOWNSHIP - Benjamin W. Ginck, 75, of 1120 W. Arch St., passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.

He was born in Shamokin, Sept. 24, 1947, a son of the late John and Marguerite (Campbell) Ginck, of Irish Valley.

Benjamin was a graduate of Shamokin High School.

Ben was always busy, having owned, operated, and worked in numerous fields. He farmed with his brother raising tomatoes for Chef Boyardee, operated a logging company, was a foreman at the Mount Carmel Co-Gen plant, and was an equipment operator for Blaschak Coal Co. He also owned O'Brien's Pizza, in Shamokin, for 10 years. When he retired, he sold produce at the downtown Shamokin farmer's market.

Benjamin is survived by a brother, Dave Ginck and his wife, Doris; sisters, Winifred Nemecek and her husband, John, Joan Swartz and her husband, Bill, Janet Ulrich and her husband, Robert, and Brenda Attinger and her husband, Terry; sons, Jeff Ginck and his wife, Marian, Jason Ginck and his wife, Crystal, and Eric Ginck; grandchildren, Carrington, Hayden, Madisen, Stephen, Peyton, Jayce, Skylar, Ben and Bradley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

GINCK - Benjamin W. Ginck, 75, of 1120 W. Arch St., Coal Township. Funeral services will be held and announced in the future. The family is being assisted by the James Kelley Funeral Home, James F.
