Prof was one of the greatest mentors to our youth. Our son was in the Danville High School Band under Prof. He learned so much from him - not only in the classroom and football field(s) but also in everyday life. He still talks about Prof and experiences with him and also continues to play drums whenever the opportunity arises (at the age of 39).
Prof was a great man and will be missed by many.

I will always treasure the wonderful memories I have of being a MOUNTIE. Prof was a blessing in my life and was the foundation and strength of that organization. I will miss him just as so many other's who knew him will. I am so glad I got to be part of the reunion in Sept. "One last wonderful memory with PROF!" My prayers are with his family.

To the family and friends of the "Music Man", it was an honor to have known "Prof". He gave life a heck of a ride. And he took thousands along with him. Maybe tens of thousands ! I had the distinct pleasure of being a part of an awesome band and he supported my athletic participation as well. Great man. Treasure the memories. I certainly will !!

I have very fond memories of Paul Semicek. His was a fine musician and a good friend. I worked with him for 15 years at Mt Carmel and 15 years at Danville. It was always a joy to work with Paul's students. It was very obvious that they adored him. He has left a wonderful legacy. I shall miss him. My heartfelt sympathy to his beautiful daughters.
