Peter Bolick

MOUNT CARMEL — Peter Bolick, 84, of Mount Carmel, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mount Carmel on Sept. 21, 1926, he was a son of the late Peter and Kathryn (Tomtishen) Bolick.

On Oct. 14, 1950, in St. Peter Church, Mount Carmel, he was married by Father Dinkle to the former Viola Giacomini, who survives. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Peter was a 1944 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He was a former member of St. Peter Church and current member of the Church of Our Lady, Mount Carmel.

He served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 within the Great Lakes Region.

He was a member of American Legion Post 2110 of Mount Carmel and a lifetime member of American Hose Fire Company.

Peter was well liked and was a respected and accomplished businessman who owned and operated Bolick Brothers Ornamental Iron Works in Maysville for 35 years.

He also was an avid pool shooter who had his own pool table at home.

Peter was a loving husband, great father and an exceptionally great grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Barbara Brooks, and her husband, Peter, of New Jersey; a son, Bob Bolick, Mount Carmel; and a grandson, Scott Bolick, and his wife, Charlene, Mount Carmel.

BOLICK — Peter Bolick, 84, of Mount Carmel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of Our Lady, 47 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, with Father Frank Karwacki officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. There will be no viewing.
