As someone else has said, I will always remember her radiant smile. I never knew when I would run into Cathleen, and I looked forward to those happy moments of serendipity.

We did not know each other well but she always had a radiant smile for me at the farmer's market. She would buy a pint of wild blueberries and eat it all in one 'standing' right in front of my table. I thought 'wow that's an Alaskan girl'. I will miss her regal bearing and beautiful visage. So long Cathleen.

Cat Doyle, Where to begin? First met her in early 80’s through U of A friends. Her intellect, caring, construction, and just down right lovable nature was overwhelming! A Woman “ Human” for all Seasons! She could haul full sheets of 1 1/4 plywood all day long, massage fellow workers, give advice, and still dance till dawn at the Howling Dog! She broke the mold, her intellect, compassion, and caring made so many of us better. From Hawaii I send my Aloha to HER and her Family and Friends! Joe and Sandy

Years ago, when we were all chasing new experiences, Cathleen tickled more than a few people with the intoxicating scent of Calypso bulbosa. While admiring her small bouquet of the exquisite orchids, she proceeded to tell me where to find them. Twenty-six miles east on CHSR, then south a mile or so, then turn west, and half a click down a yellow-brick road, I found a Calypso motherlode. Just as she said.

My condolences to Cathleen's family. I met Cathleen at my work years ago. She watered the plants at our office building. I had many discussions with her over the years. She told me about building her house with her "honey". She told me that she was from Nome. She always seemed in such good spirits even though I knew that she was battling cancer. May she RIP. Dance with the angels, my friend.

Her bright smile and exuberance for life will always stay with me. I wish she did not have to leave so soon.

So sorry to learn about Cathleen's passing. I remember her as being so full of light and laughter. It was a blessing to know Cathleen.
