Warren Fraser Obituary
1950 -2026
Warren passed away peacefully at his home in Fairbanks Alaska on March 18th with his beloved wife Cindi and daughter Hannah by his side.
The son of the late Warren Gerald and Verona Taylor Fraser, he was born and grew up in New Hampshire. In 1970 he ventured to Fairbanks for 1 year of College at UAF and never left.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics, and his MBA at UAF- he is remembered within the UAF community as being the Manager of Printing Services for many years.
Warren's great passion was playing bagpipes, including teaching and mentoring close to fifty piping students over the years.
He was an active member of the Fairbanks Red Hackle Pipe Band for 50+ years and its Pipe Major from 1999-2025.
Warren was well respected within the pipe band community both locally and nationally.
The piping world, and the world in general is a little poorer for his passing. A gentle giant, Warren was a patient, kind, and genuinely good man.
He is survived by his wife Cindi and daughter Hannah, his siblings Susan, Jane, Mark [Linda], and Jonathan [Laura], his nieces and nephews Richard, Virginia, Robyn [Hannah and Ava], Taylor, Samantha and Josh. He was a much loved 'Grampy' to Evy.
A Celebration of his Life will be held in Fairbanks once a date is decided upon.
The Graveside service and burial will be in New Hampshire.
