Mark Johns Obituary
Mark was born Feb. 5, 1969, in North Miami Beach, Florida. He grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and after graduation Mark served his country honorably in the Air Force, eventually serving at Eielson Air Force Base. Once he was finished with his service, Mark decided to stay in Alaska. He worked for K-Supply, Ferguson plumbing and Lawson Products. He went back to work for K-Supply for the past 20 years as the general sales manager. Mark loved traveling and fishing, especially in Valdez. He enjoyed playing poker and won many tournaments here in Fairbanks. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved his NASCAR. He loved grunge rock and went to many concerts over the years. He enjoyed spending time with friends watching UFC.
Mark is survived by his son, Damon (Izzy) John; daughter, Danielle Dowell; parents, Kenneth and Rose Johns; three grandchildren, many extended family and his Fairbanks family.
A celebration of life with military honors will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Elks Lodge #1551, 1003 Pioneer Road.
