Aaron Koontz Obituary

Aaron E. Koontz born August 6, 1975, passed away at DUMC in Durham, on August 7, 2008 after a hard fought battle with leukemia.
A celebration of Aaron's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 in the Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. in Apex, NC. His family will receive friends 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Saturday August 9, 2008 at the funeral home.
Aaron was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin E. Koontz and both sets of paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Jan and Edward Koontz of New Hill; sister, Mindy Coleman and her husband, Mark of Knightdale; a lifelong friend, Sean Sinor.
The family asks that friends dress casual for this service.
Casual is how Aaron lived.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the North Carolina Kidney Foundation or Duke Children's Hospital.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Aaron's death. He was special to me and my children. Sorry that I am out of town and unable to attend the service.
