Allen Shrum Obituary

Allen "Ray" Shrum, age 58, formerly of Selma NC went home to be with His Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Ray retired from the Johnston County School System as HVAC supervisor with Facility Services. He was the son of the late Allen Hurst and Mary Capps Shrum.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 just prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Eason Shrum; son, Laurent Shrum of Four Oaks; sister, Diane Shrum Mitchell and husband, Billy of Garner; special companion, "Button". Also surviving include several aunts, uncles, counsins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Allen "Ray" Shrum.
