Arvella Hinton Avery, age 82, of 4625 Lockley Road, departed this life on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Funeral, 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2014, Good Samaritan Baptist Church, 9433 White Oak Road. Internment, Church Cemetery.
Survivors; husband, Richard L. Avery of the home; daughter, Dorothy A. Badger (Leroy) of Raleigh; sisters, Nolie Burt of Garner and Ruthel Hinton of Raleigh; brothers, Joseph Hinton of Goldsboro, Earnest Hinton of Raleigh and Walter L. Hinton of Smithfield; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing, 12:00-9:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the funeral home.
