Charles Tolley Obituary

Charles W. Tolley, 77, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Charles was a 1950 graduate of Garner High School. He worked across the United States as a salesman and then photographer before coming back to Garner in 1981 and opening Vaden Studios where he worked until his retirement. He was the son of the late “Dick” and Gladys Tolley. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Atkinson, his brother, Dearing Tolley, and his son Everette Tolley. He is survived by his daughter, Ginger Tolley Levinson and husband, Jim of Clayton; granddaughters, Shelley Harris and husband Matt of Garner, Shannon Grimmett and husband, Mark of Clayton; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Briceson Harris; niece, Sonya Tolley of Garner, and sister-in-law, Betty Jean Tolley of Raleigh. The family would like to say a loving thanks to a very special caregiver, Rita Norris. We would also like to thank the Brian Center of Clayton for his long term care.
