Apex, North Carolina - Christine Virginia Young Adams, 97, passed away on Wednesday. She was born in Harnett County to the late Gustavas and Earlie Long Young.
Christine is survived by her daughter, Kathy Adams Pierce (Glenn); grandchildren, Donald Pierce (Sonia), Christopher Pierce (Susan), Kelli Allen, and Ashley Pierce; great-grandchildren, Victoria Pierce, Parker Pierce, Preston Pierce, Ella Pierce, Thomas Allen, and Derrick Allen.
In addition to her parents, Christine is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Adams; two sisters; and three brothers.
Mrs. Adams will lie in-state on Sunday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner. A private service will be held later.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or First Baptist Church of Garner, 601 St. Mary's St., Garner, NC 27529

Kathy, I am a classmate of Glenn's. I met you several times at class reunions and most recently at the 50th one. I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Although I did not know her, I know what kind of person she was because of you. I know you shared many wonderful memories and I hope those will continue to offer you comfort during this time and the times to follow. You will think of her often and sometimes cry and sometimes laugh. She will be in your heart and thoughts forever. May she rest in PEACE.
