Daum Russell "Butch" Adams Jr.

Daum "Butch" Russell Adams Jr., age 73, of Sadieville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Butch was born on November 28, 1952, in Harrison County, Kentucky, to the late Daum Russell and Ella "Marie" Faulconer Adams Sr. He is also preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Todd Adams; and a brother, Johnny Lee Adams.

Butch is survived by his wife of 26 years, Michelle Rodgers Adams; daughters, Bethann (Jeffrey) Adams Thomas, Amber (Gabe) Hoffman, Sara Watson; two brothers, Tommy Adams, Jaybird (TJ) Adams; sisters, Becky (Tommy) Adams Cooper, Dee Dee (Tom) Adams Jones, Daun Adams, Dean (Charles) Rene'e Wright; grandchildren, Aidan Hoffman, Maribeth (Cullen) Roe, Preston Rankin, Hunter Lynn Thomas, Amelia Adams, Mia Hoffman, Levi McIntosh, Blaze Blanton, Greyson Loman, Sean Bagnall; lots of nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Chester.

Butch had a deep love for his horses, especially his Tennessee Walkers, and took great joy in trail riding. He also loved wagon riding with his Haflinger mares, Bonnie and Annie. He enjoyed camping, dancing, and simply spending time having fun with those around him. Known for never meeting a stranger, Butch welcomed everyone with open arms and treated them like family, whether they were related by blood or not. Butch is lovingly remembered as the best husband and dad ever, and his family is so happy that he recently accepted Christ into his life. There will be many that miss him each day.

Funeral services for Butch will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held the evening prior to the service, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Jeremy Gillette, Senior Pastor at Stamping Ground Christian Church, will lead services. Burial will be in Raven Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Beau Adams, Hunter Thomas, Levi McIntosh, Preston Rankin, Blaze Blanton, and Tony Kearns. Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Bagnall, Scott Jamison, Andy Walker, Ricky Willoughby, Stewart Combs, Pat Foster, Cullen Roe, Roger Meadows, Austin Riggs, Jimmy McFarland, Jeff Campbell, Patrick Rodgers and Jason Walker.
