Mrs. Connie T. Michael, 68, of Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully Saturday morning in the presence of family and the caring hand of the staff at Transitions Life Care, after a long illness. Connie was born in Charlotte, NC but lived most of her life in Raleigh, NC, raising a family and working in the apparel and shoe industries. Her bright smile and welcoming demeanor touched many. She will be deeply missed by all, especially those closest to her. Connie is survived by her two sons Paul Michael of Raleigh and Brent Michael of Charlotte, her three grandchildren Cameron, Alyson, and Chase, all from Charlotte, and her brother Tom Trexler of Rock Hill, SC. She is proceeded in death by her parents Jack and Pat Trexler, her brothers Sandy and Jim Trexler, and her late husband William F. Michael III. The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses, caregivers and friends who provided comfort, support and a warm heart to Connie throughout her illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
