Just learned of David's passing (15July2022). David was a senior when I was in 10th grade. The summer I graduated he asked if I wanted to go surfing in Florida, duh. We had a great time although I was too young and quite a drag on David. Rest in peace and thanks for getting me out of Raleigh.

I was so sorry to hear about David, or as we called him, affectionately(Pogo). He was a great pal of mine at Broughton. I had not seen him since we graduated, so he will forever be in my mind as that adorable young guy with the great smile and kind eyes. I send my condolences to his brother, Palmer, and his sisters Lyn and Carol and to Muffie and children. He will be missed. Sincerely, Julie Anderson Holderness

It has been years - but so much of those early years can come back with such vividness. I heard of David's passing through Pam Warren and Dottie Lokey. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Muffy
