Dezra Keen Obituary

Dezra Royce Keen, 59, of Raleigh, died Sunday, August 19, 2001. Born in Wilson County, he was the son of Dezra E. Keen and Audrey Davis Keen. A member of Fairmont United Methodist Church, he served in the US Army for six yearsand later retired with the US Postal Service with 35 years service.
He is survived by a son, Michael S. Keen and his wife, Kelly of Raleigh; daughter, Marian K. Ervin and her husband, Mike of Lebanon, TN; sisters, Gail Knowles of Greenville, SC,Joyce Thompson of Henderson, Judy Boykin of Wilson; five grandchildren, Wesley, Katie and Josh Ervin, Jackson and Garrett Keen.
His wife, June Garrick Keen, died in 1997.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home chapel, St. Mary's Street. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2001, at the funeral home, from 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made toHospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.
